While at Capital University, I had the honor of conducting my piece, Fanfare for Capital, to open the 2023 Ohio Trumpet Guild Conference.

In the Spring of 2024, I lived in Tallinn, Estonia for five months, studying at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. At the academy, I studied composition under professor Toivo Tulev, orchestration under professor Ülo Krigul, and trumpet under professor Indrek Vau.

Also while in Tallinn, I participated in an international trumpet festival, which brought together students from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, the Latvian Academy of Music, and the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. Directors of the festival included Indrek Vau of the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra, Jens Emil Holm of the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra, and Tom Poulson of the Stockholm Chamber Brass.

On November 13th, 2025, I was honored to present my research at the 25th International Conference “Principles of Music Composing: Phenomenon of Synthesis,” hosted by the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre and the Lithuanian Composers Union in Vilnius, Lithuania. My paper was titled, “Tõnu Kõrvits’ Musical Offering: Elegies of Thule as a Vessel for the Preservation and Flourishing of the Estonian Music Tradition.”

While in Tallinn, I was honored to participate in the academy’s Independence Day Concert, performing traditional Estonian music alongside my teacher, Indrek Vau.

I hold a Bachelors degree in Music Composition from Capital University’s Conservatory of Music in Columbus, Ohio, where I studied under Dr. Dina Lentsner, Professor Tony Zilincik, Dr. Nicole Piunno, and Professor Forrest Christenson.
